ENIT AND FICO PARTNER UP FOR ITALY IN THE WORLD
A new agreement will push FICO to become the top destination for international food and wine tourism
ENIT and FICO – Italian Farming Factory – will be working together to attract millions of visitors through the promotion of the Italian know-how and food farming expertise. This is the main goal of the new agreement between ENIT (Italian National Agency for Tourism) and FICO signed yesterday during a press conference held by ENIT President ENIT Evelina Christillin, ENIT board member Fabio Maria Lazzerini, founder of Eataly Oscar Farinetti, Italian Undersecretary of Tourism – MIBACT, and FICO Eataly World CEO Tiziana Primori.
The agreement sets forth ENIT’s involvement in new promotional campaigns addressed to the general public, tour operators and the media both in Italy and abroad in order to foster FICO Eataly World to turn into the real milestone for any international tourist who wish to master the secrets of Italian biodiversity and live the most complete and authentic Italian food and wine experience.
Evelina Christillin confirmed ENIT’s commitment to “promote the Italian food faming culture by encouraging the creation of innovative business models to address the new needs of international tourism”. FICO Eataly World is ready to play its role as “the cradle of Italian agriculture by gathering the best farming factories of our country”. FICO is to become, said Eataly founder Oscar Farinetti, “the capital of Italian biodiversity in the world”.
“FICO is going to be the new destination for tourists travelling to Italy and wishing to unveil the secrets of Italian biodiversity. A real milestone – said FICO CEO Tiziana Primori - for any international tourist who craves to live the most complete and authentic Italian food and wine experience.
Italian Undersecretary of Tourism Dorina Bianchi appreciated the importance of the new ENIT-FICO agreement as a necessary provision which will “give new worldwide emphasis to the Italian character, a true value to set your sights on”. ENIT board member Fabio Maria Lazzerini concluded by pointing out FICO’s pivotal role in “showing the many and different facets of the Italian territory”, finally anticipating ENIT and FICO’s first joint event at ITB Berlin from March 8th to 12th.
